ProFind is a file search app for macOS that is very good. ProFind is an advanced file search tool for macOS. It’s packed with useful functions and

 works well. And it lets you search using natural language, start applications, find hidden locations, write scripts, and do more.


Look inside files and packages that you can’t see. Finds any kind of disc.

When it is available, it uses kernel-based searching (search). Uses information indexes (like Spotlight does) when they are available to speed things up. Application names are automatically filled in. One or two search results will show up as large icons.

ProFind combines the power of macOS’ different search tools to ensure it gets all the files you want. It does this through a beautiful user interface. And it’s been tuned carefully to work well and respond quickly.

Search queries that use natural words.

There is no restriction on how many

 search results.

Look inside files and packages that you can’t see.

Searches any disc type, such as Mac, Windows, computers, etc.

Home, Mac discs, local discs, servers, individual discs, and open Finder files can all be searched.

Look for Save and History.

Search by: name, creation date, change date, file extension, categories, subfolders, tags, regular expressions, wildcards, and highlighting. Metadata.

Remove the (-) symbols.

Md4, md5, sha1, , sha256, sha384, and sha512 hashes. (Show

 More Information).

Application names, task names, and keywords can be filled in automatically.

With path difference highlights, file paths are shown in their entirety and are not hidden.

One or two search results will show up as large icons.

Spatial disc browsing (positions, sizes, scroll positions, etc. of windows are saved).

Shell and AppleScripts can be run on things that have been found.
