You can back up an entire computer or just one file at any time with O&O DiskImage 17, even while the computer is being used. O&O DiskImage lets you restore your system and copy or clone your whole PC or hard drive. You can even restore this backup to a computer whose hardware is different from the original machine. With the new version 17, you can turn O&O DiskImage image files into Microsoft Virtual Hard Disc image files (both VHDX and VHD). This is especially helpful if someone wants to “practice” moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11 by creating a virtual machine on their current system.
The new O&O DiskImage 17 can also make images of virtual drives that are incremental and differential. It is also possible to combine or mount these pictures. When a backup is available, it only takes a few seconds to get to any needed files. The computer work can then continue without losing any time or important information.

Usually, you need to make a boot medium (USB) with a backup or imaging program so that your system can start up if something goes wrong. You have to carry this with you or put it somewhere safe in case something bad happens.
