GiliSoft USB Lock is an application that prevents data from being transferred to USB Drives, External Drives, CDs/DVDs, and other portable devices. After configuring USB Lock, you can block any drives and devices of this type that do not belong to you. With USB Lock, you may let anyone use your computer without fear of their information being stolen. This is user-friendly USB Secure Software and a potent Endpoint DLP Suite that enables you to lock a USB port, make a DVD/CD burner read-only, block certain websites, halt the execution of certain programs, and switch off other devices.

• Do not permit USB drives

Disable the reading and writing of USB drives.

USB Lock prevents USB drives from connecting to your computer without your authorization. All types of USB drives are prohibited by default. This includes external drives, FireWire, Enhanced mini-USB, Host Controller Interface (HCI), HP-IL, Com, LPT, IrDA, USB on-the-go, U3, EHCI, RAID Controller, Host adapter, Serial Cable (used for data transfer), Serial ATA, ACCESS.bus, and any storage device connected to a USB port that appears as a drive on the system.

• Block Media, CD Lock, and Blu-ray Discs

Disable reading from DVD/CD discs or transform the DVD/CD burner into a read-only device.

The application also prevents and assigns a drive letter to any disc that uses the disk hub, bay, combination, or CD/DVD drive. CD-R, CD-RW, CD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, HD-R, HD-RW, HD-RAM, Blu-Ray-R, Blu-Ray-RW, Blu-Ray-RAM, Floppy Disk A, Floppy Disk B, and Zip Drives are included.

•Website Lock

Some websites are inaccessible. With this program, you can prevent Internet Explorer from displaying unwanted websites. If a website is blocked, the user is redirected to a blank page or “blocked page,” and the content of the original page does not load on your computer. Stop banners and advertising from loading, prevent your children from spending hours in chat rooms, and prevent them from visiting undesirable websites. Do not allow your children access to adult or gambling sites.

• Lock Programs

Stop the execution of any software, including Internet Explorer, Outlook, AOL, and AIM. You may even lock your control panel with one click. Additionally, you may set your own message to display if someone attempts to start one of your restricted programs, and password protection is included so that only you can unlock the software when you wish to use it. Permits the computer to remain on and operational, but restricts access to the programs you specify. The intuitive interface displays the status of all locked programs and allows you to unlock them with a click.

• Hardware Lock

You can restrict access to removable media devices such as CDs, DVDs, floppy, flash, and USB drives with the application.

Additionally, it can be used to disable the modem, printer, COM/LPT interfaces, infrared, Bluetooth, and 1394 ports.
