FX File Explorer v9.0.1.0 For Mobile
Requirements: Android 5.0+ | File size: 10.55 MB

FX File Explorer has a Material Design user interface and new ways to move files between computers and devices.

• SMBv2 support.

• With Wi-Fi Direct, the new “FX Connect” can send files from one phone to another. It supports NFC, which lets you connect two phones by touching the backs of those phones together. (requires FX+)

• “Web Access” lets you move files and media and manage them from your computer’s web browser. You can drag and drop whole folders from your computer to your phone or stream music from your phone to your computer over Wi-Fi. (requires FX+)

FX is a file explorer that makes mobile device file management as simple as on your computer.

• Productivity-focused “Home Screen”: Direct access to files, media, and data that you consider crucial • Ability to open many windows at once, a dual-view mode that lets you use “Usage View” to compare the size and content of both windows at once of each folder as you browse and manage files

• Support for most file archive formats

FX keeps your privacy safe.

• No ads

• No tracking of users’ actions: FX never “calls home.” It was made by NextApp, Inc., a US company that started in 2002. All of its proprietary code was written in-house.

With the optional FX+ Add-On module, you can do more.

• Use FTP, SSH FTP, WebDAV, and Windows Networking to connect to networked computers (SMB1 and SMB2)

• Connect to cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, SugarSync, Box, SkyDrive, and OwnCloud.

• Manage installed apps, with the ability to browse apps based on the permissions they need.

• Create and look inside AES-256/AES-128 encrypted zip files

• Browse audio content by artist, album, or playlist; manage and organize playlists

• Browse photo and video folders directly

• Encrypted password keyring (use one password to access network and cloud locations)

•Multi-undo/redo, copy/paste, search, and pinch-to-zoom functionality for the text editor.

Zip, Tar, GZip, Bzip2, and a built-in Audio Player; a Binary (Hex) Viewer; a Picture Viewer; a Media Player; and a Pop-Up Audio Player and 7zip archive creators and extractors

• RAR file extractor

• Shell Script Executor

Notice About Location Permission for Android 8 and 9

NOTE: Android 8.0+ forced us to add the “approximate location” permission because apps that support Wi-Fi direct now need it (because Wi-Fi direct leaks this information). FX never asks about your location, and you’ll only be asked for this permission when using FX Connect on Android 8.0 or later. This permission was only needed for Android 9.0 before, but now that FX requires full support for the latest Android API, this permission is also needed for Android 8.0.
