Does the fact that Windows Explorer only lets you do so much bother you? Directory Opus is a full replacement for Explorer, and it has more power and features than any other file manager on the market today.

Some of the features are showing files in one or two panes and folder trees.

– The tabbed interface lets you have multiple folders open at once and move quickly between them.

– The Special Explorer Replacement mode completely replaces Windows Explorer.

– You can quickly search, sort, filter, and group your folders.

Give your files status icons, star ratings, tags, descriptions, and descriptions in different colors.

– You can look at pictures, papers, and other things. When you mark an image, it’s easy and quick to put them in order.

– With easy-to-use keyboard macros, you can rename several files at once.

– You can see information about files and change it. – It works with FTP and archive formats like Zip, 7Zip, and RAR, and it has built-in synchronization and a tool for finding duplicate files.

– Find out how big folders are and print or export lists of folders. – Put the copies of the files in a queue to move the process along faster.

– You can change Opus to meet your exact needs by changing its colors, fonts, toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, and scripting interface.

Modern, efficient, and with many threads. It can be used with the latest 4K monitors. There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

What’s New in the Directory? This is a list of the most important new features in Opus Pro 12.

• Full support for 4K and 5K monitors and other high-DPI screens.

• The Rename dialog has been updated with new features, such as a unique macro recorder that lets you rename multiple files in a complex way without using regular expressions.

• The writing has been fixed.

• Better way to handle filename conflicts and renaming files over and over again.

• An “Apply” button that lets you change the name of more than one thing without having to close the dialog.

Some changes to the Image Viewer are • A customizable toolbar and hotkeys, including the ability to run any command on the current image file.

• A new way to mark photos that makes it much easier to find the ones you want to keep, print, share, etc. in a folder full of photos.

• A read-ahead cache, which makes it faster to load images.

• A metadata panel that is built into the viewer and lets you change EXIF and other metadata right from the viewer.

Labels for files and folders now have extra features, such as • The ability to put on more than one label at once (label attributes are combined).

• Label categories (which enables grouping your labels).

• Label priority that can be changed (for files where more than one wildcard or filter label applies)

• A new system for status icons that lets you give each file one or more status icons (for example, to keep track of which files are “done,” “watched,” “urgent,” or “to-do”).

• A mode for sorting files and folders by hand, so you can do it exactly how you want.

• A built-in dialog editor that lets scripts make their own user interfaces that are very complicated.

• Improvements to the way files are shown include • Vertical folder tabs (displayed down the left or right side of the file display).

• You can choose the colors of the tabs for each folder.

• Both vertical and horizontal gridlines can be turned on or off.

• Size and age graphs were shown behind the size and date fields (rather than requiring their own column).

• A new “show everything” mode makes it easy to turn off all filters at once.

Folder Options lets you do things like • Set the column widths so that they grow to fill the available space in the file display.

• Using a column filter makes it simpler to locate and include the desired columns.

• If you need to, you can use regular expressions to set up filters for file and folder names.

• Changes to copying files, like a graph of the speed of the transfer in the progress window.

• Improvements to the toolbars, like scroll bars and clear labels in drop-down menus.

• Lister layouts can now be put into folders and subfolders.

• As usual, much, much more!
