MultibootISOs has been replaced by YUMI, which stands for “Your Universal Multiboot Installer.” It can be used to make a Multiboot USB Flash Drive with multiple operating systems, antivirus tools, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more. MultiBootISO used grub to boot ISO files directly from USB, but YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and if that doesn’t work, it falls back to grub.

Except for a few distributions, all files are stored in the Multiboot folder. This makes for a well-organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes.

YUMI works a lot like Universal USB Installer, except you can use it to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. The same tool can also be used to uninstall distributions.

With the exFAT version, all files are stored in the Multiboot folder. This makes for a well-organized Portable Multiboot USB Drive that can still be used for other storage needs.

Even though YUMI was originally made to store and run different “LIVE Linux” operating systems and tools from USB, most Linux distributions can use YUMI to install Linux from USB to a hard drive. Please let me know if you find a distribution where the installation doesn’t work.

What’s New? Elementary OS, Ubuntu Mate, and Parrot OS now work with it.
