Password Depot is a powerful and easy-to-use password manager that helps you keep track of all of your passwords, as well as things like your credit card information or software licenses. The software makes sure your passwords are safe in three ways: It keeps your passwords in a safe place, makes sure you can use your data safely and helps you make safe passwords. But Password Depot isn’t just about security. It’s also easy to use, highly customizable, works well with a lot of different devices, and, last but not least, has a lot of different functions. You’ll only have to remember one password from now on: the one you use to open Password Depot. Your passwords are as safe as possible from outside access because they are double encrypted with AES (Rijndael 256).

You can save your passwords not only locally, but also on an FTP server, a USB device, a mobile phone, or in the network. With Password Depot Server, you can keep track of password files on a network so that everyone on the team can use them.

Password Depot is easy to use and saves you a lot of time and trouble. You can customize Password Depot to fit your needs by setting it up the way you want. Password Depot can work with a number of other programs, and it can do so in a flexible and problem-free way.

Safely store your passwords. * Use the best encryption you can. With the algorithm AES or Rijndael 256, your information is encrypted not just once, but twice in Password Depot. In the US, this algorithm is allowed to be used for the most secret government documents!

* Double protection. You can keep your password files safe in two ways. First, you choose a master password. You can also choose to protect your data with a key file that must be uploaded before the file can be opened.

* Protection against attacks that use brute force. Every time the master password is entered wrong, the program is locked for three seconds. This makes it almost impossible to use “brute-force” attacks, which involve trying all possible passwords.

* Function of lock. This function locks your program and stops people from getting to your passwords without your permission. You can decide when the program should lock, such as after a certain amount of time if it hasn’t been used. * Backup copies. Password Depot makes copies of your password files as a backup. The backups can be stored on FTP servers on the Internet (or SFTP servers) or on external hard drives if desired. You can set the amount of time between when the backup copies are made.

Secure Data Use

* Safety against keylogging. All of the program’s password fields are protected against different ways that keystrokes could be stolen (Key Logging). This stops people from being able to read your sensitive data.

* Memory Without a Trace.  when it is working with your passwords. So, even if a hacker sits right in front of your computer and looks through its memory dumps, he or she won’t be able to find any passwords.

*Protection for the clipboard: Password Depot automatically finds any clipboard viewers that are running and hides the changes they make to the keyboard. When autocomplete is used, all sensitive information is automatically erased from the clipboard.

* Virtual keyboard. The best way to keep someone from stealing your keys. With this tool, you don’t even have to touch the keyboard to enter your master password or other sensitive information. Password Depot doesn’t fake keystrokes. Instead, it uses an internal cache to store them so that they can’t be caught by software or hardware.

* Make fake mouse points. You can type on the program’s virtual keyboard, and you can also tell. This also makes it impossible to see what you are doing on the keyboard.

Verified Passwords * Passwords that can’t be broken. The built-in Password Generator makes passwords for you that are almost impossible to crack. Use passwords like “sweetheart,” which can be cracked in just a few minutes.

* Made sure the password was good. Let Password Depot check how good and safe your passwords are. Smart algorithms will look at your passwords and warn you about “weak” passwords, which you can then change with the Passwords Generator.

* Rules about passwords. You can set basic security requirements that all new or changed passwords must meet. For example, you can say how long a password must be and what characters it must contain.

* Warnings about security. Password Depot has a list of warnings that keep an eye on the safety of your passwords. For example, if you use the unsafe FTP protocol, the program will warn you and suggest that you use SFTP instead.

* Protection from attacks that use a dictionary. If you are using unsafe passwords, Password Depot will let you know. This is an important warning. These are commonly used passwords that can be found in hacker dictionaries and are easy to crack.

* Don’t let your password expire. You can tell Password Depot to tell you when your passwords are about to expire, like when your credit card is about to expire. This makes sure that your password information is always correct and up-to-date.

Convenient Access

* Easy-to-use interface. The user interface of Password Depot is like that of Windows Explorer. This makes it easy to move around in your password lists and find the password you’re looking for quickly.

* Auto-completion. If you want, Password Depot will automatically fill in your password information when you go to websites in most browsers. This function works with a combination of an internal setting and so-called browser add-ons.

* Automatic recognition. You can set the program to automatically figure out which password information goes with the website you’ve called up and pre-select that password entry for you. If you want, it can also fill in this information for you on the website.

* Top bar. The program can be boiled down to a thin bar whose position can be set by the user: it can be free to move around or stuck to the edge of the screen (Application Desktop Toolbar). So, you can always use the software without it getting in the way.

* Websites that open right away. Password Depot lets you open the URLs that go with password entries right from the program. This keeps you from having to manually copy and paste website addresses into your browser.

*Use with a click of the mouse. Using your password information is as easy as clicking your mouse cursor a few times. With one click of the mouse, you can copy information to the clipboard or drag it right into the field on the website.

* Hotkeys. There are keyboard shortcuts for Windows commands that are used often on Password Depot (“Hotkeys”). With these hotkeys, it’s easy to change the layout of Password Depot into a top bar or bring it back to the front when it’s in the system tray. * Recycle bin. Password Depot has a trash can that stores deleted password information and lets you get it back. In this way, you can still get back data that you might have accidentally deleted.

Playing well with others

* Server module. Password Depot has a separate server model that lets multiple people use the same passwords at the same time. The password files can be accessed either through a local network or the Internet.

* USB stick. This way, you can take the files and software with you wherever you go, and they will always be ready to use. Some of the web services that Password Depot works with are Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, and Dropbox. Password Depot makes it easy and quick to get into the Cloud in this way.

* Files with passwords on the Web. You can put your encrypted password files on the Internet if you want to. To get in, you can use HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, or SFTP, depending on what you need.

* TAN support. TAN numbers can be put in and managed through Password Depot. In this way, it makes life easier for all people who use online banking by keeping their sensitive banking information in a safe place.

* URL placeholders. When you enter URLs into Password Depot, you can use placeholders, such as an asterisk (*), to replace any number of characters. With this symbol, you can match several URLs to a single password entry instead of entering a separate entry for each URL.
