You don’t have to set anything up, but if you want to serve localized content better, you should turn on your location settings so that localized content loads automatically. This app learns which apps you use most often so that you can get to them even faster from your home screen in the future.

After a few days of use, your home screen will show all the apps you use most often. You’ll soon find that dynamic content is your main source of news and popular articles, keeping you up to date on what’s going on in your area and around the world.

The content of Trending News & Videos is based on your language setting and where you are. It will show you videos, and popular news feeds in your language and other languages. You can change how the trending videos look by choosing from options like “Most Popular,” “Sports Trending,” “Music Trending,” and so on.

The “Most Used” list fills up when you open apps. The more you use this interface, the better it shows you the apps you use most often. This section can’t be changed because it is fixed.

You can “Add to Favorites” apps that you don’t use very often or that don’t show up in your “Most Used” list. This makes them easy to find. This will add the app you choose to your home screen’s “Favorites” list.

Long-pressing on any app shows that you can change the settings for that app with as few clicks as possible. This makes it easier to use and operate the phone day-to-day.

In some situations, you may need an app to start up independently. Digital signage is used in restaurants where a movie ad must always play. To use this feature, press and hold the app icon you want to use for a while. This will bring up the app settings. Due to a limitation in the lean-back intent, you can only use a mouse to access some of the functions in this section.

As a developer, you can talk to us directly about any problems. We have a long list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) inside the app that are meant to help you understand how this service works and how to get free help from us. Watch for a link from the app to our G+ community, where you can talk to the developers directly about problems.

This launcher was made with the Leanback library, which works with Android 5.0 and later, and it has a wallpaper that changes as you look at different pages. Because of this, you can’t use this launcher on older versions of Android.
